Background

Denise Dresner

I was born in New York and have lived in Rome, Washington, Oxford and London. After attending university in England, I worked as an editor and writer for companies in the US and UK for several years before moving into publishing – first with Hutchinson Reference (Random House) in London and subsequently with its successor Helicon Publishing in Oxford. As managing editor at Helicon for five years, I oversaw the production of many reference publications, in print and electronic formats, including encyclopedias, dictionaries, school study guides, and authored titles.

In my freelance editorial career I have branched out to work with a very diverse range of clients, specializing in nonfiction content.
