If you can send a sample of the work, that's even better; I'll review it and give you a time estimate for the whole job. I can also provide a free sample edit up to 300 words so you can see the editing process and how I work.
I usually charge on an hourly basis for editing and writing jobs, but for a large project I can quote a flat fee for the whole project.
I use Word's tracking and comments system which clearly shows you all the changes in red like this. When the text is finalized I will supply you with a 'clean' version with all tracking and comments removed.
I also edit and proofread on hardcopy.
